This is a very helpful book for anyone dealing with the loss of a loved one. I really loved the case stories and my favorite section was the chapter on pets. James Van Praagh is very respectful of the bond between humans and animals and does not trivialize it. He explains the stages of grief and more importantly gives suggestions on how to heal and deal with the pain. Very enlightening book on many levels and I recommend it to everyone.

"Grieving is a natural process. It is through our losses that we can transform ourselves and find new meaning in life." - James Van Praagh, from back cover.
