Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup - quick oats
  • 1/2 cup - Grape Nuts Cereal
  • 1/3 cup - cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup - almond meal
  • 1/4 cup - ground flax seed
  • 1/4 cup - natural peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup - agave nectar
  • 3/4 cup - chopped pecans
Directions

This is a recipe I made up using agave syrup. My husband is a type 1 diabetic and can eat foods with agave syrup. It's healthy and a great snack with lots of protein and fiber!

  1. Mix quick oats, Grape Nuts cereal, cocoa powder, almond meal and ground flax seed in medium size bowl.
  2. Add in peanut butter & Agave Nectar and stir until blended thoroughly.
  3. Add chopped pecans.
  4. Press mixture into 8x8 pan.
  5. Chill and cut into 2 inch squares to serve.
