We are campers, but while trying to eat healthier (lower fat, reducing sugar but not a diet, just healthy eating) I am having a hard time locating kid friendly healthy camping/ picnic type of recipes. We are used to hamburgers, potato salad, hot dogs and corn on the cob (grilled). Ones that can be somewhat prepared at home so that I am not preparing too much at our camp would be great. Oh and breakfast recipes would be great as well!

Thanks!

Breakfast in a baggie!   Crack the eggs and divide them into a baggie for each person.  Then let everyone dice & slice whatever they want in their omelet.  Keep cool.  When breakfast time rolls around, put the bags in boiling water until the eggs cook.  Kids love it!

Purchase a large container of yogurt (any flavor), then add fruits and granola to it.  Freeze well.  By the time it's ready to eat, the yogurt should be thawed enough to eat.

Mix peanut butter, honey, granola, bananas together.  Spread on half of a graham cracker and top with the other half.  Freeze and then wrap individually.  Great for summer snacks around the house also.
