Our library system had a volunteer appreciation "afternoon with an author" today. The author was Laura Lippman. Wow!! Was she ever interesting! She has a sense of humor on top of keeping your attention while she speaks or answers questions. It was also interesting that she also volunteers, not at a library, but at a soup kitchen in Baltimore. She also gives her speaking engagement money to the library. If you ever have the opportunity to hear her, she is well worthwhile your time. We've had other authors here, but she certainly outshines many as a speaker!      M'ann

I love her books.  I thought she had a sense of humor from them.  Nice to hear that she lives up to my expectations...lol
