This book is good. I have only read it once and would love to read again. It is just one out of a series of five. The series is called The Emerald Ballad. The second book in the series is called "Heart of the Lonely Exile". This is a story of Nora & her son who fled their home during the famine in Ireland to make a life for themselves in America. The story is about the hardships that they must overcome.
I really enjoyed reading this book because I like reading about things that happened in history. The third book in the series. It is called "Land of a Thousand Dreams". It is really good too. If you are interested in history this would be a great series for you to read.

I have really enjoyed this whole series. The writer is very interesting and the facts I am learning about history are so intriguing.... I love her faithful Christian principals woven through the pages.

A GR8 second book. I had never read this author, but found the style of writing very easy to read. There are several "Christian" proverbs and teachings and references. These made it even more interesting to me, and made me question my daily life.
BUT, it is a novel...
