What a delight this book is to read! Tucked in here and there are snipets of Linda Evans Shepherd's own twenty-year romance. There are some terrific stories by a few established authors. And thanks to Linda and Broadman & Holman Publishers, a large number of novice writers have an arena in which to showcase their very excellent stories. You won't be disappointed. And if you think men aren't so romantic, search out those stories written by men. What a joy you'll find in reading how they dearly love their wives, and the extent to which they go to be romantic. Besides romance, there are some belly-laughs, causes for tears, and a renewed hope in real love and the unique ways we share it, romantically speaking. The other thing found in this book is the unvarnished truth. No one pretends life is all love without sorrow or troubles, or that people never tarnish themselves. It does portray that when love is something done to and for the ones we love, it is thoroughly romantic.
