I found this book under the romance section of my used bookstore. While there is romance, and sex, and love, it is much, much more than a bodice ripper story.
It is the intriguing and poignant story about a child who becomes a woman, and learns how to live her own life and how to forgive the past. I couldn't put it down, not because it was action packed but because I needed to make sure everything would turn out okay. The main characters are relate-able and likeable, and it moves at a fast enough pace to not become boring.
The only really weak part in the story happens about 50 pages from the end when Aly has some midnight sexual encounters that really just don't fit with the flow of the story. It almost seems like the author needed to throw in one more man to make the story longer.
Over all I loved the story, and loved the strength of the main character. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a love story over a romance novel.
