A good adventure, thriller about a young women who teaches English at a community college. Her father disappears and leaves her a mysterious stone. So begins Maxines adventure which takes her from Chicago to London to a remote island. Along the way she tries to figure out who is friend or enemy as she realizes someone else is threatening her life and is desperate to acquire the mysterious stone. A fast-paced adventure that will keep you turning pages.
