This Star Wars series is by a Hugo Award winning author, much better than the average run of the Star Wars books.

This is the only Star Wars author I've been recommended by one fan of the genre and it was great! Really got into it and have already gotten partway through #2..

The story of Luke, Leia, Han and the others 5 years after 'Return of the Jedi.' A great, attention-grabbing read.

One of the best Star Wars books out there. This is the book I tell people who want to get into reading Star Wars books to pick up. If they don't like this one they probably aren't going to like the rest of them. A classic and my vote for the next movie should there be anymore.

Its the original Star Wars expanded universe book, what else can I say? A lot actually. This is the book that started off all the most recent Star Wars books you're reading today. This was the first book authorized by George Lucas. In my opinion this series was also the best. Almost all the characters in this book are later used in other Star Wars novels, which I think says a lot about Zahn's writing. All the books in this series are very worthwhile reads, with the Last Command being my favorite.

This cover does not say anything about the "Thrawn Trilogy." However, THe picture of the cover is accurate.

It's five years after Return of the Jedi: the Rebel Alliance has destroyed the Death Star, defeated Darth Vader and the Emperor, and driven out the remnants of the old Imperial Starfleet to a distant corner of the galaxy. Princess Leia and Han Solo are married and expecting Jedi Twins. And Luke Skywalker has become the first in a long-awaited line of Jedi Knights. But thousand of light-years away, the last of the emperor's warlords has taken command of the shattered Imperial Fleet, readied it for war, and pointed it at the fragile heart of the new Republic. For this dark warrior has made two vital discoveries that could destroy everything the courageous men and women of the Rebel Alliance fought so hard to build. The explosive confrontation that results is a towering epic of action, invention, mystery, and spectacle on a galactic scale--in short, a story worthy of the name Star Wars.
