Hello everyone! I am pretty new to PBS, but so far I am loving it. I have always been very interested in True Crime, Mystery and Thriller books. Recently, I was given Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead and I have found my new favorite genre. I finished that book in two days and then went out to buy the other two in the series, plus her Vampire Academy series. I have read the first book in the Hollows series by Kim Harrison, Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris and many more.

I am in the process of putting up my mystery books and wish listing for urban fantasy. I have a feeling I will be frequenting this board quite a bit so I just wanted to say hello to all of you!

Courtney

Hi Courtney, welcome to PBS!!

It IS one of the greatest places in the world.  Where else can you meet new friends, participate in discussions on just about any subject in the world, find out about authors you haven't tried before, obtain new books and get rid of those books you no longer want to keep, all at one easy to use website?

Come back and visit us often - this is one of the best forums.  Members here are very good about suggesting new authors and books, giving opinions on books, and mentioning books they have available.

Hi Courtney, and welcome.

This site is the greatest...I don't know how I lived without it.

Charlaine Harris is awesome and if you want to know who else we all read, just ask. Everyone here has there favorites--J.R. Ward--is mine for the heavy reading, and Harris for the lighter side. My only problem is I spend way

Sorry, I screwed up. Anyway, I spend way to much time here.

I see you're in Florida. I'm in Maine and so wish I was in Florida. (Hmmm...I just noticed I spelled 'their' wrong.) Yikes! So have fun.  Roni

Hello and Welcome. I have been at PBS just over a year now and I love it.

Before I have only a few authors that I loved. I was too scared to try anyone new but from the recomendations and referals from my new PBS friends I have so many new authors that I love... Richelle Mead included. I have not read her last Succubus and Vampire academy books yet. I am waiting for them to pop up on my WL, so feel free to post them after you have read them, LOL.

Welcome! I joined PBS as a lifetime bookworm, but this site has made my addiction 10x more intense :) I've discovered dozens of authors I may have never discovered otherwise, found books that became beloved "keepers" on my shelf and thanks to the amazing, giving members here received new books that cost $25 in bookstores for a simple swap. It's also a great feeling to do the same for your fellow members, and I love sending out a book that was just sitting on my shelf so hopefully the next reader will get something out of it. Keep exploring the site and forums in your free time, and the more time you spend the more you'll discover.

Seriously though, it is addictive. Really, really, almost-on-chocolate-level addictive.

Thanks for the warm welcomes! I am excited to find all kinds of new favorites and am sure that everyone here will have some great suggestions.

Medinaserpa - I had already posted the latest books, but they went almost as soon as I posted them. Sorry! That was before I found this lovely place. :)

Welcome Courtney.  I haven't read Mead yet but have one of her books in my TBR.  I'm liking urban fantasy more and more.  Check out Kresley Cole's Immortal series and Jeaniene Frost, I'm liking both of those a lot.

Welcome....I too have just been turned on to this genre recently.  My favorites genres over the years have been true crime, horror, YA.....PBS is really widening my reading horizons. I have read the entire Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse series as well as the Harper Connelly series.  I just got , "Happy Hour at Casa Dracula" from the library based on some of its reviews on PBS.
