I listened to this on an audiobook last year, in an abridged version. I liked the story and wanted to read the entire book, but forgot about it. It just popped into my head again and I cant remember the author. 

Young widow is running a B and B and raising 3 or 4 year old twin boys. The handyman is the hero. He has a crush on the heroine, but thinks she isn't over her dead husband. I think it was set in the northwest, like Washington or Oregon. A guest at her B and B disappears and the bad guys think he left something there that they want back.
