I am looking for a book I read several years ago.  I am almost positive it was a Julie Garwood contemporary but I can't remember which one.  There is a scene in the book where the hero, who is some sort of cop, is with his partner in a diner when someone tries to rob it.  the scene goes down kinda like Dirty Harry.
