Hey everyone!

I am trying to find the title and author of an independent reader book. From the AOL Article, it is a new novel, so I don't think it is out yet. It was featured in an article, because even though it is classified as IR, it is also pretty gritty for the age group. It is supposed to be for more advanced Indenpendent Readers and not for the squimish. I know it is a boy in the Civil War. One of the examples was the boy coming across the Hessians..at least I believe it was civil war. Between each chapter are little facts and tidbits so you know what to expect in the next chapter. I believe the author is male, but do not know the title or author. The AOL Article is what made me interested in the book. The article was online about a month or two ago. If you know any info that would be great. I am not much of a history reader, but this sounded interesting. Hope this makes sense..very tired. Message me with any questions. I am hoping I can find this book!

Hmmm, I haven't heard of it, but I will keep my eyes open.

On a side note, I believe the Hessians were in the Revolutionary War, not the Civil War.  Unless I'm getting my wars mixed up.  :)
