I downloaded the Mountain Habitats lapbook from Hands of a Child a couple of months ago.  I wanted to use it for school tomorrow, since we just got back from our vacation in the Smokey Mountains.  When I tried to open the file it just has letters, numbers and a bunch of boxes and symbols.  The file name doesn't say Adobe PDF next to it like the other ones I downloaded.  It just has the e symbol for internet explorer and it does say how many MB it is.  

I thought maybe someone here could offer a suggestion to help me.  Or is it a hopeless cause?  Thanks, Carrie

Does HOAC allow you to re-download items you've already purchased?  I know some of the other sites do so.  Otherwise, I'd recommend contacting them perhaps the initial download failed. 

When did you download it?  I'm pretty sure you can download it again if it is withing a certain time period (30 days, I think).  If you are still having trouble, email them.  They are great about responding in a timely manner and have always been very helpful to me.

Try right clicking on it.  It will ask.....open with ->  then try opening it with your adobe acrobat.
