Any Harlequin fantatics/historians, please help me!! I've been searching FOREVER for a Harlequin book I read in 1990/1991. I can't remember the title, author, or names of the main characters (ugh!!!), however the plot of the (then) contemporary story is about a recently divorced in-her-30s-mom of two goes back to her hometown during the summer while her kids stay with their dad. She stays at her aunt's home (I think it was her aunt, and NOT her mother), and is courted by a former friend/flame from her highschool days. He (I think his name was Brodie maybe?) is a former football superstar who now lives back in his hometown and coaches the football team. During the summer, he helps her regain her confidence and they fall in love, of course. This is a pretty typical, standard story except for the end where the love scene is over the top and hilarious. This was published either as Harlequin Blaze or Desire; the cover was red, but I can't remember the actual portrait on the cover!
I REALLY want to find this book, especially since I still remember it even twenty years after it was published!! I know there are some Harlequin buffs/collectors out there who MUST have this book in their collection. Any help in finding this story is appreciated!!! |

The Return of Eden McCall was a Silhouette Intimate Moments It would NOT have been a Harlequin Blaze, that line did not start until 2001. The Harlequin Temptation line (that the Blaze line evolved from) did not have red covers until about 1993, before that they were yellow. The Silhouette Desire line has always had red covers so that is probably the line it came from. No other Harlequin/Silhouette line that I can think of has always had red covers or would have had them in 1990/91. I am not familiar with the story although I was reading that line at that time. Will do some looking though to see if I can find anything. |

It couldn't be a Harlequin Blaze as I don't remember any of their storylines having a married woman with a child. All the women are single, independent, and looking for a romance. |
