I ordered a book and had it sent to another PBS member for a game swap.

On Thursday the sender pm'd me and asked me to mark it received since her DC showed it delivered as of Monday.  (She bought DC from usps not PBS).  I contacted the member supposed to have received it and she hasn't received it.

The sender sent me the DC #'s and the usps.com site shows the book delivered in the right town on Monday the 11th just as the sender said.....so what do I do.

I believe my swap buddy did not receive it, but the sender is missing out on the credit even though it shows it has been delivered!  I know if I mark it received and it isn't then I lose my credit and by all rights should send another book to my buddy which will cost me another credit.  I also hate for the sender to not get her credit since it seems it isn't her fault that it hasn't been received.  So how does this come out right for everyone?  And what do I need to do about it?

Ask your buddy to contact the local post office with the DC handy. Maybe carrier left it on porch, between doors, ect. or maybe meant to scan attempted and it is on the shelf at the post office. It could have gotten delivered to the wrong house, if so maybe carrier remembers where. Post office can tell from the scan who the carrier was and the time will help narrow down the area. File a mail loss report if not found within a couple days after talking to the post office. It may not get the book back but it does show a pattern if there is a problem in that area. Good luck.

I've gotten emails telling me I need to mark a book 'received' because the delivery confirmation shows it delivered...my post office does not deliver my packages daily..I go maybe 2-3 days with no mail then suddenly have a pile of stuff. I know they're doing this. Yesterday I was home all day and had a notice to pick up 2 pacakges..and whenI  go to the post office they say no one ws home...duh I was home all day and this isn't the first time it's happened. I signed the slip and left it for them to redeliver because I won't be off until next Wednesday if I have to pick them up myself..
