I have this book in storage and probably in ebook but cannot think of the title and author.  It would be the second book of a 2 book series.

The one I'm looking for has this in it:

Historical Western Romance - She is the school teacher and he was once an older student.  I believe the first scene is she is sitting along the side of a town hall dance (maybe in widow clothes) and he walks in (gunslinger, maybe) and asks her to dance.  He'd had a crush on her when he was the student.  (He is also the nephew to a rancher who used to be an outlaw) .  She has a son and I think her first husband was the sheriff of the town.

I can't believe I can't remember this title!!!!   grrrrrrr

Hope someone can help.

Actually, all joking aside, the more I think about it, I think I've read this one.  Since I'm not a fan of westerns, I likely would have only read it if one of my fave authors wrote it.  So I'm thinking it may be an older Jude Deveraux.  She has a short story called The Teacher but I can't find anything about it.  She also has a series set in the west, so maybe part of that.

Last Chance by Jill Marie Landis? It's been several years since I read it and I can't remember if she was a school teacher. All I remember was that she was older.
