This is a book set in the 1800's. I thought the name was "Home Sweet Home" or something like it. About a woman living alone and falling in love (of course). Can't remember any names. The heros brother would drink all week and abstain on Sunday. Just a cute book. They end up getting married and everyone comes out to give them a chivaree-----------probably spelled this wrong. Drives me nuts and this is all I remember!!!! |

Is it a western? American historical? Doesn't sound familiar to me either, but that might help to narrow it down. |

It has been so long since I read it that it is fuzzy in my mind! Takes place tward end of horse and buggy era. I remember pieces of it, but not the true plot. Going to drive me crazy. I lent it to someone and didn't get it back. (When will I learn not to lend anything out that I want to read again?) ***Just remembered the front of the book had a homey look to it. Hearth with chair by it in cutsey pastel colors.*** Last Edited on: 5/1/08 7:15 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
