I read a book several years ago, and I can't remember either the title or the author.  I think the cover might have had a picture of sunglasses on it.

The story was about this girl whose father was in a band with 2 or 3 other men.  The story starts when she is just a child and then has a few other scenes of her growing up, but most of it takes place when she is an adult.  When she was a teenager, she met this boy while surfing.  She ended up marrying this other guy who at first didn't seem to know who she was or that she was the daughter of a famous singer, but in actuality knew all along and only married her because of that connection.  He ended up being abusive and she went into hiding because of him.  She moved from New York out to the West Coast where she ran into the surfer boy she met years ago, who became a cop.  They end up falling in love, etc and the evil husband either dies or goes to jail.  I think he dies.

I don't remember much else, though one of the bandmates married a movie star and another one was secretly gay.  Anyway, I remember enjoying the book, but can't for the life of me remember the title or author.  Please help!

This sounds a lot like Nora Roberts "Public Secrets".  The daughter is named Emma, her father is in a band and one of his bandmates is secretly gay.  No movie stars and she doesn't meet the hero surfing but the rest sounds the same.  And her baby brother is kidnapped.  The hero is the son of the cop who investigates the crime.

Even if this isn't it, you should read it because it's WONDERFUL!!

I'll second the Public Secrets recommendation!  I don't think that's the book you're describing but it's similar and it is really good.

I think this was it!  I forgot about the whole kidnapped baby brother part.  Thanks so much for your help!
