My account has been on hold for about 3 weeks, I just took it off hold and got a bunch of wish list books ordered.  The problem is all the  books are listed twice, but going to the same person

for instance  Magic Hour  by Kristin Hannah  is listed twice going to the same person  and others doing the same.  How can I delete one of the orders??

On my wish list offers the same thing is happening each book listed twice and both books coming from the same person

I think you need to contact the team Bertie.  It sounds like there was a glitch in the system.  PBS is the only one who can fix it for you.

This happens alot to me LOL lucky I guess.  I am still waiting to hear back from someone.  I just accepted a wish list book someone offered me, and the second one is still showing.  I am hoping after she says okay for the first one, the second will go away.

I sure hope that PBS soon gets my problem fixed.  I have 2 people ordering the same book. I already printed the label for the one, but  not sure if I should cancel the second or not.

And also,  when I checked my transaction list I noticed that I am getting a lot of red X's for the books that are being canceled. Is this going to go against my record on PBS?

Yes - cancel the second one!  If you cancel it will remove that book from your shelf!

How should I word it when I let them know I can't ship the book??  I am getting so many red X's in my transaction list. I am afraid they might cancel me.

Just write "This book was double posted. I only have one copy." and then cancel away. These kinds of cancellations are not going to hurt your account.

This is really getting to be the pits, LOL.  I am afraid to take my shelf off hold.  I have to put it on hold because I can only get to the post every two weeks, and then only if the chemo has not wiped me out.  I sure hope they figure out why this is happening and get it fixed

I'm guessing there was a server hiccup at the moment you took your account off vacation hold.  When both offers are going to the same person, follow Julie's advice -- the requestor accepts both offers, and you cancel one.

If the offers are going to two different people, you still accept one and cancel the other.  As Cathy said, it won't affect your account at all.  It's would be obvious to the Admin Team what happened.

I got two requests for the same book!

This happens for one of three reasons:

  • You Posted the book twice

    • using different ISBNs
    • or posted one or both copies as a non-ISBN item
    • or posted the same ISBN again after accepting a request for the first one you posted.
    • If you used two different ISBNs (or one ISBN and one non-ISBN listing), you should accept the request for the correct listing. If you posted the same ISBN twice, you should complete the first request and decline/cancel the second if you do not have two copies of the book.
  • Two copies of the book were posted simultaneously when you posted the book.

    • This can be caused by a server hiccup OR by your clicking "Post book" or "Refresh" while the book-posting was in process.

  • The requestor submitted two simultaneous requests

    • This usually happens when the requestor clicks again to request the book when the Request button reads "processing..."

It does not matter if the requestor submitted the request twice, or the book was posted to your bookshelf twice; the next step is the same, to correct the duplicate requests in your account, as follows:

If this happens:

  • You can simply accept one request, and decline the other by clicking
    • When you decline, the extra book will be removed from your bookshelf.
    • Be sure you accept the request for the book that was listed correctly, if you listed it twice.

If the book is on a WIsh List and involved in a pending offer:

  • Wait for the book to be requested.
  • Accept the first request
  • Decline any extra requests by clicking
  • Doing this will remove the extra copies from your account.
  • You will have a chance to explain what happened to the requestor when you decline a request.
