I've tried to get a hold of people in the LIVE help, but I guess they are all busy. So here is my problem:

This is an odd one... you've been warned! :) So A person requested a book from me. Ok, I print everything, wrap it up, mark "I will mail in 2 days" Ok. Today is Monday, I am all ready to mail it and.... I get a PM from the person. This is what She wrote:

"I was wondering if you would be willing to cancel the request for The Miracle Worker, as the system must have sent the request to someone else. I cannot mark the book as sent until this request is canceled. Thank you for understanding."

Ok, now I REALLY don't want to mark the transaction canceled because then it looks like my fault, PLUS I would have to repost the book and be put in the back of the FIFO line. So I asked her to please cancel the order. But she says:

"I can't find the button here to do it. And somehow, I have already recieved the book from someone else, I got it 2 days ago. And I still have it showing from you."

HELP? I don't know what to do. I REALLY don't want to mark "CANCEL" I'd prefer her to do it. But 1) I don't understand why she can't find the cancel... could it be cuz I printed the wrapper? 2) I don't know how she mannaged to do that, and neither does she for that matter. 3) I really don't want to be pushy or mean, so how can I approach this matter in a fair way? Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

Aimee - I hope Teresa was able to help you!  I just wanted to add something for everyone's knowledge...the term "Live Help" is a bit of a misnomer, as it is not a "live chat" which is what I think people expect.  It's most similar to an email system.  If a TG is not on his/her account page when you send the message, he/she probably won't see the message right away. But all TGs are great about checking in every so often, so your question will get answered.  I say this NOT to discourage people from using Live Help, but just to give everyone some info on how it works.  Please be patient with us!  We are all volunteers who love PBS enough to donate our time to help.

You can ask R&R to cancel the request for you by clicking on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the screen and sending a feedback.

They might be able to put your book back in the FIFO order and make sure it's really canceled. If you cancel the request yourself, then it's just going to forward along to the next person and the requestor risks getting a second copy if she doesn't cancel that transaction in time anyway.
