A thoroughly engaging tale about a feisty hen, her dreams, and her journey to achieve them. I can see why it's considered a classic for its appeal to all age groups. Touching, inspiring, and poignant this is a wonderful story that I highly recommend. 5 stars.

A heart-warming tale of Sprout, the hen, whose one wish is to become a mother. In spite of danger and heartbreak, she realizes her dream and raises her "chick" to adulthood and then faces empty "nest" syndrome.
