3. purge more books to reduce the TBR pile

5. not get into NTM authors/series til I can catch up a bit

Sounds like a good plan!   =)

I took a day a few months ago and put all my books that I had been keeping and books I was waiting to read into a huge pile.  I then sorted by alphabet and then wnet through each alphabetical pile.  I'm embarassed to say that I found some duplicates, but glad to say that I really re-evaluated where I was in what I wanted to read.  I packed seven or eight bags for the used bookstore and take one in every so often.  I really have made progress on the books that I want to get read.  It feels great!  Good luck - it can happen! :)

Well, with that list, you've got at least a 50% chance of reading more of your own books for a change. LOL

ok it's been a couple of days - how's it going?!

Not so well, Susanna. But my current library requests were made prior to my vow so I have 2 Cornwell audios, 1 Cornwell paperback, THE WHITE QUEEN audio, and #2 "Felix Gomez" book. 

Once those are done I'll be more judicious with requests.

I've been adding books to my Shelf and my Pending Bookshelf book list here so I've been seeing a lot of my own stuff I want to read soon.

Theresa: I both hate and love to find duplicates when I'm going through books. Money spent twice, but at least one of them will be going out the door.
