This is the third (and final?) in this series. Tol is a fantastic protagonist! The character development in this series is fun-the evil ones are evil and it is easy to hate them, the hero is a true hero, and the rest are a good combination of good and bad just like everyone. Be sure to read the first two to really get the feel for our heor's plight. My personal thing is I like to read series where the story carries from book to book so I am not sure if I can honestly critique whether this story stsands alone-the author has added all the details you missed if you didn't read the other two-it is just that I really recommend reading all three books.
