A simple but very powerful book. Once again we are taught that "no man is an island." I've read several of Howard Fast's novels and rate this as one of his best, if not THE best.

For those who want to raise their children to question authority when necessary, this book needs to be on their reading list. For life isn't fair, and sometimes "justice" isn't just. OR is it right to hate or distrust those whose background and beliefs are different than ours?

A story of the American Revolution that has just as much relevance to what is happening today as it has throughout the history of mankind.
