I just went to the wishlist and BAM! It is totally different than it was an hour ago. Now it clealy shows your position, when the book you are wishing for was last posted and approx. when you can expect to have it posted to you! Does this mean the new wishlist is getting closer?!?!?!

I just went back there and it is back to normal...something is coming...

Someone just posted about this on CMT. My WL still looks the same as it always did.  From what they posted, the new info sounded interesting.

Mine keeps going back and forth.  I thought I was seeing things and kept checking the board to see if I was the only one.  LOL

I hope that this is just an addition and not the beginning of switching to the set up like swapdvd. :(  I know everyone has their own thoughts about it but I highly doubt I'll be around much if it changes.

Well, I just saw the new set-up.  It gives a lot of info.  Most of the words added are "insufficient data to estimate when you will be offered this book."  i really don't care about that kind of estimate.  It does tell you when it's been offered last and when.  Also tells how many were granted this week or last time granted.  That's sort of nice.

I just wrote PBS to say it looks nice - but please keep FIFO and the RL !!!  I may go print it off just in case.

I don't remember, what's going to happen to the reminder list if they get rid of that?  Do they put all those books on the WL? (I'm a bit worried because most books on my RL are ones that are in the system, I just don't want them yet and certainly don't have enough credits for all of them if they went to the WL).

Mines changed too.  My only problem is they all are on Auto Request-Yes and when I change it back to No and leave the page and come back they are all back to Yes again.  Hopefully its just a glitch and will right itself or am I missing something to keep them on Auto Request-No?

Also, why would they take away the RL?  I don't belong to swapadvd so I don't know how that site works.

Eek!  Why would they change FIFO?!? 

I like the new set-up, too.  It gives you a better idea of what is actually happening - for example, you can tell if you are moving up in line due to books being posted versus people dropping out of line.  The down side is I have realized how unlikely it is that I will ever receive the vast majority of my WLed books.  Drat my esoteric taste!

I sincerely hope you're right Kate, because the changing everything back to yes really perturbs me. I have this idea that everything is going to be auto-request on the "new" wishlist, so I'm not at all certain that will be going away.  It may be a deal-breaker for me using PBS.

Well, unfortunately there is precedent for them making changes without warning members (making the forums public is the latest one that I can think of- and that backfired)

I like the new info.  All of mine are on auto request anyway. I did notice at least 1 of my books hasn't been posted since 2006...so guess I won't hold my breath for that one!!!

Sweet! I do like that part about showing when it was last posted.

Wow, that link is alot to read and digest!  Not sure if its all good yet though.  The ranking thing, guess we will have to see about that.

The number of books is still capped at 200.  I am still traumatized from seeing how infrequently the bulk of the books on my WL are posted. 

I like the new info that they have made available, such as the estimate for when the book will be posted.  It was a bit depressing, though, to see on one: "We estimate that this book will be posted to you in 116 weeks."

There are still some bugs but Thanks PBS!!! I really like the new features! Keep up the good work!! 8-)

Brenna, the information given to us a while ago about the new wishlist said that your reminder list books would be absorbed into your wishlist, but they will be "on hold" so that they aren't actually on your active wishilst.

Lesley H. I feel you. At least this way we know and can go out and buy a book we feel we just can't wait that long for. We won't have to worry that while we are standing in line to purchase that very book our name comes up and we get offered the book. This will also put more books into the system and wishlists can move faster. I hope anyway.
