Susan~ so glad you are feeling better!  A word of caution from a professor in the school of "don't do as I do, do as I say".  :)  Don't overdo it!  Medications can certainly make you feel better, but that doesn't mean that you are better.  So use caution as  much as possible and consider whether or not you really need to do something before doing it.  :)

I now know my limitations and avoid what I know will start me hurting which seems to be just about everything I do anymore, but hopefully the surgery will "somewhat" relive some of it, I am so scared not of the pain I know I will have after the surgery, but I am scared because I may not wake up, is this a normal fear?

Hi Susan

It is a very normal fear. Each and every surgery I have had that is my biggest worry. I get so scared right before they wheel me in to the operating room I request to be tranquilized before they actually bring me in. It is a very rational if not misplaced fear. It is very difficult for some of us to relinquish control to a stranger to put us to sleep and rely on them to keep us safe and wake us. However they for the most part have this very much down to a science so to speak.

I wish you the best  And I will say a prayer for your recovery.

                                     peace and blessings
