This book explores the "Hidden America" of things we usually don't think about....like what REALLY happens at the dump to your trash and they power some dumps make from it, how the oil in Alaska gets into the pipeline and how the workers live, follow a lady trucker on her routes, and other workers and their jobs that are "Hidden American". Interesting, especially because you can tell the author really didn't have a clue to the lives of blue collar workers before she went out with the workers for a few days.
