I went to a lecture given by a professor teaching history at Eureka College, which is the college attended by Ronald Regan. The professor informed those that attended that this book was a work of fiction. That it served as interesting story but this was a book of opinions and to take the information with a grain of salt. I did enjoy the book however.

I love history books however this one just didn't keep my interest. Course now I even wonder if in fact it is a history book and not just a folk lore of fiction. They are now saying there are no documents to back that quilts were used in the underground railroad!

What an wonderful read. I love this kind of true info with pictures of what they have designed for quilt patters. Using designs on quilts to pass messages is so interesting. If you are at all interested in this history-this book will be perfect for you to study the patterns that pull together a message from long ago.
