Mr. Burr was a dynamic presence on the screen and this book has some captivating data on his personal dedication to the merciless number of hours spent on his series shows and philanthropic ventures. Personally, I would have been interested to read more on the complications from his gay lifestyle; but it appears Raymond kept it under wraps pretty good. If society caused him to create grandiose lies, at least he never hurt anyone by them, and he did more than his fair share of glorious deeds. All around, a respectful account of a thoroughly respectable man.
