Recently I have gotten into Historical Romance.  I find I particularly like Highlander books.  I'm looking for recommended authors, particularly those who write series books.

Outlander - Diana Gabaldon    Definitely my very favorite book! Developed into a series.

Kate,

I saw discussions related to your question on both the Historical Fiction and Love & Romance Forums.  Looks as though there's a lot of PBSers who are into Historical Romance like you are! Hope you find some great series to read!

I really enjoy Karen Marie Moning's Highlander series. Its more paranormal romance than just romance, but she's a fabulous writer.

Outlander and Hannah Howell.  But I also discovered Karen Ranney and on the lighter side, easy read with humor Karen Hawkins - Sleepless series

You'd probably get a better response on the love/romance forum.

Great recommendations so far. Just want to add, Monica McCarty has a great series.

There is a PBS tag specificially called "Scottish Romance", with about 400 books tagged that way.  That can be helpful in finding new titles/authors.
