:)Hi and thanks for "listening". I am looking for books/authors along the same line or similar to the ones written by Diana Gabaldon and Sara Donati. Any suggestions??

Hi Sharon, are you looking for books that are series like these two? Or with similar settings and time periods? I know I went on a hunks in kilts fling after I finished the Outlander books, with not much success. The best of the lot was Lady of the Glen by Jennifer Roberson. Note: do not let the new cover scare you off it is absolutely positively not a sex filled bodice ripper. What the publishers were thinking I'll never know.....

I agree about Julie's blog. Definitely a Jamie and Claire fan there.

Not quite sure if it's what you're looking for but if you want US history in the 19C leading up to and through the Civil War and it's aftermath check out Celeste De Blasis' Swan trilogy. Wild Swan, Swan's Chance and A Season of Swans.
