I am looking for a historical romance novel.  I do not remember the title or author.  The plot starts off with the guy trying to hide from someone so he slips into the building.  Turns out the building is a quaker meeting.  They are holding a wedding for a girl who only kissed a man.  When the guy enters the building the quakers think he is the intended groom.  The guy goes along with it just to get away from the people who are looking for him.    The man may have been drinking or in a card game.  The guy does not believe the marriage is real and goes home.  The next morning, his new bride shows up on his doorstep much to the surprise of his family.  This is all that I remember.  I know it is historical and I think it was set in London.  Can anyone help me find this book?
