With Gustav on the way I might need to put my account on hold and have a few questions about it. I've contacted 7 people about books that will be delayed in sending and also 8 books that have not been marked as received. If my account is on hold will they still be able to mark them received? Also I have books en route to me. Can I still mark books received without unholding my account? All of my wishlisted books are on automatic... will I still get them sent or will I get skipped over while on hold?

Sorry for all the questions but when Katrina went through we lost all en route mail and did not have mail delivered for 3 weeks. Our mail goes through New Orleans. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before Tuesday.

Yes, you can mark items received when your account is on Vacation Hold.  You will get the WL books that are automatic (as long as you have credits), but not those which are not.

You might also want to put a note in your profile explaining the situation -- I'm sure folks will be understanding, and Vacation Hold was made for a situation like this.

If you have books pending to mail-if you don't mark them mailed in time the requests will be cancelled by the system and ordered from someone else if they're available. So make sure to either cancel pending requests or print the lables and mark them mailed. 

You can mark books received and others can mark books received while your account is on hold. If you run out of credits any WL offers will go to 48hr hold.  You won't get any new book orders while you're on hold.
