OK Just remembered another that I didn't see posted The Holocaust by Bullets by Father Patrick Desbois excellent book about how the Nazis killed Jews in the Ukraine and how this Catholic Priest is trying to find all the mass graves by interviewing the witnesses fantastic book. Did I say that already LOL

I have come into possession of a little old paperback book entitled Babi Yar, by A. Anatoli (Kuznetsov).  The blurb says it is "the extraordinary story that inspired D. M. Thomas' The White Hotel."  Further, "In a desolate ravine near Kiev, over 100,000 people were stripped naked, lined up, shot, clubbed and buried alive.  The soldiers: Nazis.  The victims: Russians, gypsies, Jews."  ISBN 0-671-45135-9

I recently got "We Are Witnesses: Five Diaries of Teenagers Who Died in the Holocaust" by Jacob Boas from PBS.  I haven't read it yet, but might post it when I'm finished.

I find quite a few holocaust books using the Browse feature.  I browse the biography/memoir genre and find lots of good books.  That's just my favorite genre at the moment.

This is the first time in this forum.  I am  not Jewish, but am studying the Holocaust.

I am building a Holocaust library in my home (collecting the best Fiction and Non-Fiction books). 

I have also visited Auschwitz-Birkenau twice and also Dachau and Bergen Belsen.

I am going to name some on my list, and I am sorry if I am repeating someone's suggestions:

Without a Doubt:  I am going to repeat Night by Elie Wiesel, because it is a story that everyone,

Jewish or not, should read.  These are my favorites.

I have just read 2 very good books.

1-Hassidic Tales of the Holocaust by Yaffa Eliach.  This book is on my shelf.

2-In My Hands- Memories of a Holocaust Rescuer by Irene Gut Opdyke with Jennifer Armstrong.  This is on my shelf but waiting for a response from a wisher.  There are 17 wishers.
