I read several Thomas Wolfe books many years ago and loved his writing. After many years I was happy to realize that I still love his writing. He is verbose, but his writing is so beautiful that I love to read it. His descriptions of people and places capture their essence. I highly recommend this book.

What can one say about this classic? I recently visited Wolfe's home in Asheville, and that prompted me to read it again. Still good--there were dysfunctional families back then too.
