A different type of Mafia book, very entertaining.

"Now Dunetown is a bloodbath. Someone is murdering the leaders of the Triad, and Jake has to find the killer. For help he has the Hooligans, the toughest bunch of ex-cops ever assembled. And for memories, he's got a crowd of ghosts to deal with - some of them very much alive..."

Jake Kilmer is a cop for the Feds. His specialty is a branch of the Mafia known as the Cincinnati Triad. For years he's pursued them-circling in on their corrupt stench, dodging their bullets.
Now they're set up shop in Dunetown, Ga. Dunestown where Jake spent an idyllic summer 20 yrs. ago. Where for a golden moment before Vietnam, everything-friendhsip, honor, the love of a beautiful girl-seemed possible.
Now Dunetown is a bloodbath. For help he has the Hooligans, the toughest bunch of ex-cops ever assembled.
