Are there any good historical fiction books set in Germany around 1500-1800? Everytime I search I get books about WWII, which isn't what I want right now. Thanks for your help!!

Hi. Have you tried searching for Holy Roman Empire. From the 10th century until 1806, German territories formed the central part of the Holy Roman Empire.

http://www.librarything.com/subject/Holy+Roman+Empire is a link to a librarything.com search for HRE books. You might browse this list to see if something interests you or to give you some other ideas to search for. As you will see, there are lots of books about the Grand Poopah of them all - Charlemagne.

Good luck!

I just bought this book - The Witch's Trinity - about a witchcraft scare in a medieval German village. http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780307351531-The+Witchs+Trinity+A+Novel

I have not read it yet, but it sounds good.
