Finished reading this book over the weekend and was wondering what everyone else thought of it? I think it really started off great. It had me hooked but then it felt like the book lost its momentum in the last half and the ending kind of felt rushed to me (I don't know if 'rushed' is the right word, it just didn't seem to flow very naturally with the rest of the book). I really loved Heart Shaped Box and tried to not come into this book with super high expectations since I knew that this book would be a different type of horror. I think it would be hard and nerve-wracking for any writer to follow up such an exceptional book with something better. It was different and I did still enjoy it but find myself going back and forth on whether or not it is a 'keeper'. |

I may be in the minority but I liked Horns more than Heart-Shaped Box. I really liked how it revealed more and more of the story in stages, and thining back on it, I feel like the brilliance of the construction has grown on me even more since I finished it. |

Ok-had to post a quick little update. I re-read this for Halloween and loved it much more the second time through! I don't know if I was just in a different frame of mind but I think I got into it a little more with this read. Glad I hung onto it for a while longer. |
