Have you ever noticed how things run in streaks? My WL is packed full and I've got a few others on my RL to move over as other wishes get granted, yet it's been days and days since my WL kicked up a book, which is pretty unusual. Most of the time I'll get at least 2-3 books per week from my WL. I'm now at #1 for a few that I've slowly moved up the line, and it feels like the WL is just holding its breath....I just know once one of them gets posted, another half-dozen will follow on that big exhale. LOL It's the same with my bookshelf...no requests for a week, then 4 come up within 24 hours. Weird!

It's the same at the library...I have 13 requests "pending" and I've been #1 in queue for a couple of them for a week or more now, and several others I'm at #2 or 3.  I just know they're all going to come available at once so I'll have to get to them before anything else--being that there's a waitlist, I can't renew beyond the one 3-week lending time. I read quickly, so it won't really be a problem, it's just....aaaaaaaagh!

Do you notice the same thing?

Cheryl

I have been noticing the same thing lately. Last week I received 3 requests for my books after about a three week drought. I also had WL books popping up at least one a day. Then nothing, until just now one came up. Yay!

What really irks me though, is when a wishlist book pops up and the sender takes the whole 12 day wait to send the book out! I had a WL book pop up on August 10th. The sender still has 'accepted-printed' on there since August 17th. I'm pretty sure she's taking the entire time allowed. Meanwhile, others are getting ahead of me. I had this book on my WL for months. I guess I'm just really excited when I get a wishlist book and don't like to wait.

Hey, things are looking up! My wishlist book sender just mailed my book! Yay!

I'm having a hot streak now.  Nine (I think) requests in the past two weeks.  I don't have a very large shelf, so that is something for me.  Gonna have to place some requests myself............   :- p
