I got this book thinking it would be an informed and educated compare and contrast on the three subjects... I was very sad to see it was nothing more than misinformed Christain propaganda :(

It gives a brief history about Harry Potter and a Wikipedia history of the Wiccan religion and then delves into why it is wrong and evil. It ignores the fact that Harry Potter teaches children to find true friends who will stand by you until the end and focuses on the evil of the witchcraft of the story. Sure, sorcery is a large part of the story, but so many kids can relate to Harry's pain and finding strength in others, no matter who they are, or their mistakes in life. Sound familiar? Sounds like the idea behind true Christanity, minus the obvious hocus pocus.

Fact is, if you agree with this book, that Harry Potter and Wicca are nothing but promoting sin and the Devil, you were only looking for someone to retell what you already thought, you weren't looking to learn anything, like I was.

Steve Wohlberg has done a lot of research and the facts that he states in here are true. Many teens in our culture move from not so innocent Harry Potter to Wicca Witchcraft. Millions of children across the globe are enjoying the magical adventures of Harry Potter. Are these harmless fantasies or is a sinister spirit lurking behind the best-selling books? Hour of the Witch: Harry Potter, Wicca Witchcraft, and the Bible scrutinizes these popular tales from a spiritual standpoint. Sorcery and the supernatural are essential to Harry Potter's escapades and parents should consider how all this wizardry influences their kids. Does being immersed in images of witchcraft have a lasting impact on an impressionable mind? Beyond this, real Wicca Witchcraft is growing rapidly among teens. Is Harry Potter fueling Wiccan growth?

Learn the truth behind Harry Potter and how to protect your children from being bewitched.
