Debbie, in the text box where you write your message, there are small buttons above.  One looks like a chain - this is the "add link" icon.  Type the word that describes your link, highlight it, and then click that chain icon.  It will open a box where you paste the URL.  Then hit the "ok" button

Another way to do it is to simply hit enter to start a new line, and paste the URL. Then hit enter again.  This will put the link on a separate line.  If you imbed it in the text, sometimes PBS software adds some gibberish at the end and fouls the link. So I just add it to a new line

As to how to add .sig images, Chris (Mannythepoolshark) has a tutorial in her profile.  Just search for her in the member directory, under community.
