Can someone explain the quirks of the alphabetization here at PBS? I have many titles and authors listed on both my WL and RL. I have them (supposedly) ordered alphabetically by author's last name. However, every once in a while strange things happen. For instance, this morning I added J.A. Konrath's "Jack Daniels" series to my RL. The books 1-4 are right where they belong in the "K" section but book 1 is right at the top of the list before Albert. Lori Armstrong's books are in the "G" section, right before "Ghosh" of course, and a there are a few other glitches as well. What up??

I'm not sure about your specific book, but I know that there are books that are listed by the author's first initial and sometimes their middle initial.  Seems to be an "input" error.  But you can find many "lost" books that way.

There is a giant data base project going on to up-date and correct information by Author, here at PBS. If you would like to help, click on Approve Book Authors at the bottom of the page, in the blue ink under the ^Back to Top^ link. Since the data base is purchased from an outside source, there are errors in it. But we can clean up the data base and make searching easier for everyone.
