I sent 4 books in like brand new condition to someone in April and they haven't ever marked them received. How do you ask them if they mistakenly forgot to mark them? Don't want to upset them. |

Well the lost date should be coming up, right? I don't think it's uncalled for to send a PM asking about it. Just say something like, "I wanted to make sure you had received the books." Rather than something saying they need to mark them received. I think a nice PM just asking if they received them could prompt them to mark them received if they forgot. |

Here?s how I generally word it:
Dear XXXX, I see it?s been a while since XXXXXXX left my house and I?m a bit worried it might be taking the scenic route. Have you received it? If so, would you mind marking it as received that way it won?t be hanging out there for both of us. If not, maybe it will be arriving soon. I tend to worry that a mailperson may have left it outside somewhere thinking it will be noticed and by the time it is found the weather has damaged it.

This seems to get a good response. 90% of the time the person will mark the book mailed or email me and let me know they forgot. I usually send it right before it?s about to ?go lost?. |

Hi, I mailed you the book "xxx" on xx/xx/xx. I see it hasn't been marked received yet and I was wondering if you have received it yet. If so, I would appreciate it if you could mark it received. Good pm suggestions Just this week, I pm'd about a dvd on the sister site. Those go first class and had been noted as delivered by USPS at least 10 days prior. A nice note asking if it was received, or offering to begin a USPS search . . . and the account is marked received within 24 hours. Hope your books show up soon! |
