Susan Wiggs  The Lakeside Chronicles

 

how many books in this series and in what order should they be read????  Everyone is raving about them so I thought I might start reading the series

There is also another book that is not really part of the series, but the main character of it appears in one of the Lakeshore books, #3 I think.  It's called Just Breathe, and it was quite good, too.
