How do I change my address?  When I go into Account information, change it, and hit save it just reverts back to the old address and does not save the new. Is there somewhere else to do this?  If not guess I'll try again later, maybe there is a glitch.

Jaimie, here's information in the help documents about having problems with changing your address. If the answer is not here, then use the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the screen.

If you can't change your address in your Account Settings...

If you are trying to change your address to a foreign (not served by USPS) address, you will not be able to do this.

If you are using Internet Explorer version 6 you will need to use a different browser.  We recommend Firefox, a FREE browser that can be downloaded here.

If you are getting the message that your new address could not be validated, this means that your address as you entered it is not on USPS' list of validated addresses.



  • This does not mean (of course) that you do not know your own address.  It simply means that USPS does not have your address as you entered it on the USPS list of valid addresses.
  • The USPS is very finicky about how an address appears--a simple misplaced hyphen or lowercase letter that USPS wants to be uppercase can cause the address to be "invalid." Instead of "Apt 1-A-1", for example, the USPS might want an address to read "APT 1A-1". Sometimes the invalidating information is spelling out "Lane" when the USPS wants "LN" or using "123 S STREET" when the USPS system recognized "123 SOUTH STREET".
  • Any US resident can check an address for validity by going to this site and entering the address.
    • That site will show what was entered and also what the USPS system wants the address to be.
    • Or, if the USPS program can't figure out what their system recognizes for what was entered, it will give the message that the address isn't recognized.
  • If your new address is served by USPS (including the United States, US territories and possessions, and APO/FPO addresses), and the site above does not help you validate your address, you should contact your local PO to pursue validation.

If you are getting the message that you need to receive your first two books before you can change your address, that is the case.
