There is a book posted, but only by title and I wanted to know who the author is to see if its a book I want.

I cant see how to contact the poster to ask them?

the only way to do it is to order it which will give you a PM button on your front page and then cancel it after you have the info to PM the member.

once you do have the author, you can go in and edit the book data from the desc page and add it so that others will know as well

If there is an ISBN listed on the page you can go to amazon and get a description.
