I've seen there is a limit to how many you can sell a month, 30, 50?  Is there a limit to how many you can buy?  If so, is it only official PBS credits, or is it from any kind of transaction?  

There is a limit of 30 credits purchased from the Kiosk, per month, per account.   I don't think this applies to credits purchased from other members.  Those credits are already out in the system.  But only 50 credits can be transfered per account each month.

Ooops.  Looking at my registry, I bought about 62 credits this month, a few from PBS, and the rest from members.

I didn't realize I had bought that many.  I guess I got carried away with the excitement of the first month of PBS!

I don't think you've broken any site rules by purchasing 62 credits. There's only a limit on transferring 50 credits out of an user account (this includes buddying credits, playing games, but not donations--I may be wrong on this). I think there are checks in place so it can not happen; you must have bought the credits from at least two different members or up to 50max from one member and some from PBS. That is fine.

The 50 credits transfer rule is pretty recent -- the general thought is that it was put in place to deter  the semi-professionals from amassing too many credits and selling them too cheaply.

No worries Mindy, the system tracks the important transactions.  You can't 'accidentally' go over.

I just looked on the credit registry and added it up myself.  But if there is an easier way and somehow there shows a ticker, I'd like to know where that is too.  Thanks!

When you are on a member's profile or bookshelf and click on the "give credits" link, a message will appear that says:

You may give up to xxx more credits to friends this month

Thank you Hunter!  So I transferred a credit today for a swap game, and nothing happened because it's the first of the month and that was the first credit I had transferred/given away.  But the next time I transfer a credit (and each time thereafter) the reminder will pop up?

I transfered a credit on the first and the message came up that said

You may give up to 50 more credits to friends this month

right before I transfered it.

Denise, I just tried it with you.  I went to your profile, clicked on "Give Credits" and it brought up the screen to choose how many credits.  This was the message:

How many credits would you like to give to this member?
You may give up to 49 more credits to friends this month

Ah-ha, so we can check any time not just during an actual credit transfer transaction.  Thanks Hunter!
