I am pretty new here and only have 3 credits. I was surprised to find an email this morning from PBS reminding me I had credits and urging me to use them. Really? I only have 3 credits, I thought I would save them until there was a book I truly wanted. was planning to try and accumulate more. how many credits do people typically keep in their account?

That's just an email they send out randomly sometimes to encourage book ordering.

I have 14 now and 6 or 7 pending in games.

My comfort level is 10.  When I get down to 10 or just below then I go on a WL book reading spree to build them back up a bit.  I have a huge TBR so it's easier for me to hang on to credits.  If I had a small TBR, I'd probably spend them faster.  But with 700 books to read here already-I tend to only spend them on WL books and when I need the next in a series and my library doesn't have it.  And games-I spend credits on games.

At one time I had over 70 credits. I had my account on hold for about 6m while selling one house, buying another and moving cross country. I would just post WL books and hoard the credits.  Of course when I came off hold I was #1 on over 50 WL books and had about 60 WL offers in 2months.

I only have 7 (includes some books I need to mail) right now but I have about 20 tied up in swap games/virtual boxes.

I'm a little below my comfort level but  I have several wishlist books I can post if I need some quick credits.

I currently have 46.  I've considered selling them, but IMO the market price is too low right now.  I'd be selling them for less than what it costs me in postage, since many of my books have been hardbacks.  I've also thought of putting my bookshelf on hold, since I'm still sending out books every week, but I'd just as soon clear things out.  So I guess I'm just waiting for a lot of my WL books to become available.

Um, I have 402 credits...like a lifetime of credits! Originally my goal was to have a 100 credit cushion just in case the WL books started pouring in, I wanted to have enough! And along the way I got addicted to trolling thrifts stores and rummage sales for books to post and next thing I knew I had sent out 2200 books and I keep ordering books but I seem to stay about 400. One of these days I guess I will stop and just order books and enjoy the fruits of my labors!

I have 30 right now.  I thought when I had 20 I had too many so I ordered some books and then also put more on my WL.  I have too many books that I want to read right now so I have really slowed down in ordering anything new.  I am adding to my WL though.  30 is probably too many for me, should be around 20 but I like reading books & mailing them off to others to enjoy.

Wow!! I have 4 credits right now but normally I only have about 4 or 5. I couldn't imagine having over 20.

I have 120 credits right now.  I was planning on selling them; but, like Marsha said, the market price is just too low right now.  I do have bunches of books coming up on my wish list in the near future.  At least the credits won't be going to waste.

I don't like keeping lots of credits in my account. Five is about right.

I have 30.  It's a bit too many but everytime I tell myself to go on an ordering spree I start thinking about the size of my TBR pile and don't order anything.  LOL.  I have tons of WL books to post too.  So I could have a lot more if I wanted to pay for all that postage at once.

I have 11. Currently, I have about 15 books waiting to be read and reposted (that's all that keeps me from ordering more books right now!).

58 right now. That's about average for me these days. I try to keep at least 40 on hand as I do have my whole WL auto requested. I had dropped down under 30 in the summer which kinda makes me nervous. LOL Then I hit my local FOL sale and got a bunch of books to send out to boost my credits up a bit.

Wow, I only have 1 credit lol. I am new to PBS and do have about 10 books I sent out that I'm waiting to be marked received -but there are a bunch of books that I want so I doubt the 10 will last. I guess I should start looking for WL books to post...I'm a credit loser :(

2.

I sent a book first-class a week ago and haven't gotten credit for it yet, so I hope it's 3 soon! Plus I've loaned a couple of (wishlisted) books to friends. I hope I get one or more of them back soon...

I have 14 right now...   and they are burning a hole in my pocket, lol.  But I have so many on my tbr list that I am trying to practice restraint.   Like to have at least 10 for wl books.

21 credits, with 20 more pending in the mail.

I'm brand new, but wanted to clear out some space and build a credit buffer.

For about the last 4 or 6 months, I was at around 100 credits, but I went on an ordering spree and have recently got myself down to 45. I am trying to get myself down to about 30. It's hard, though, because I like to send out books, and I have a LOT of WL books. I'm mailing out 7 WL books today. Now, i've got to order something to get rid of the credits. Problems, Problems ....

Lori--I'm new here too, also with 3 credits and got the same e-mail.  I've already shipped a few books and I have already ordered three books and added a few others to my wishlist.  So I was a little surprised by the e-mail--good to know that's it's just a sort of routine thing.

I have 12, and it's the most I've ever had...they burn a hole in my pocket! I usually have about 2, and have never gotten the email, lol. I wish I could stockpile them, but I guess I have no restraint! :-(

I have over 500.  Like Sally, I troll the FOL, and thrif stores, etc., and find a lot of WL books to send out.  (I love to enable others in their reading).  I try to keep enough for my WL books, and then DH will find an author he likes and I'll order every book that person wrote, and my grandchildren also like me to get books for them, so I keep quite a few on hand, but I have waaaay too many credits.  Pat
