It's that time of the year again.  Time to start decorating and I need some ideas.  My husband works for a moving company so I have lots of used cartons to cut up and shape, so I thought I would the front of my house into a haunted house complete with ghosts in the windows.  But it just may not be scary enough.  How can I make it really spooky?

It's probably a little late for it, but you can do what I do all year round, which is let the shrubs and ivy overgrow onto everything LOL!

That is the exact reason why I don't dust cobwebs down! Free decorations for Halloween! I know, quit rolling your eyes at me! LOL

I skip Halloween and go straight to Christmas decorating.  It takes alot of time for me to decorate for Christmas, but well worth the work.

LOL Sharon and Amy I'm with you on both of those.  I actually tried to get some of our spiderwebs down from around our door JIC for the kids.  Sad I'm cleaning spiderwebs that coulda just stayed a little longer.  Sadly though were only putting up a door hanger with a skeleton.  I'll take a picture of my moms neighbors though there a retired harly/hippy couple.  They go all out and yesterday they were outside making there yard scary.  Its so cute to watch them out there decorating there house together.

You know, I would keep my spider webs but my garage/bushes are infested with Black Widow spiders, and unfortunately, I am terrified of Black Widows!  So the webs must go.  My kids have fun putting the fake white stuff up.  Then we put all sorts of plastic bugs and spiders entwined in it.  Last year my boy put one of his action figures in the middle of it, and it really looked like a tiny man was caught in a giant spider web.  I am getting excited just thinking about it...I love Halloween.
